IL BOSCARETO RESORT & SPA

IL BOSCARETO RESORT & SPA perches high on a hilltop above the town of Serralunga d’Alba in the heart of Piedmont wine country. Both inside and out, the resort is a model of modern Italian design: sleek, sophisticated, and yet warm and inviting. The architecture is distinguished by numerous panoramic windows, which frame spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and vineyards from just about every spot on the property, including from the rooms and suites. The latter are likewise elegantly appointed, with silk fabric walls—a different color scheme in every room—exquisite locally crafted furnishings, and spacious bathrooms with whirlpool tubs, large showers, and crystal basins. During the summer months, guests can relax and soak up the sun on the spacious patio, numerous outdoor terraces, and in the open-air solarium. Additional opportunities for rejuventation are available at the onsite La Sovrana Spa, which offers a variety of massage and beautification treatments,

as well as a Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, frigidarium, emotional showers, and a full-service gym. And there’s nothing quite like swimming laps in the indoor pool or relaxing in the adjacent hot tub while enjoying the scenery showcased through the floor-to-ceiling windows. These are pulled aside in the summer, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor space so that guests can better experience the enriching sights, sounds, and smells of the great outdoors. The pampering continues at the onsite Michelin-starred La Rei restaurant, which reflects executive chef Fabrizio Tesse’s passion for traditional Piedmontese dishes and Mediterranean specialties. Guests can choose from a seasonally changing five-course tasting menu, a three-course menu of duck prepared three ways, and a curated selection of a la carte dishes. The serving staff are well-versed in pairing the best wines of the region with each dish, so make sure to avail yourself of their expertise and taste the flavors that make local wines like Barolo and Muscato so beloved.
